Claire + Stephen

Bride and groom walking out of their wedding smiling and holding hands while confetti is being thrown over them

My mam's wedding with my now step dad. I wasn't officially here as the photographer of the wedding day as my mam wanted me to actually be in the photos, so she also hired another photographer to shoot the wedding so that would be the case.

This was such an emotional day, as it would be with anyone who was watching their mam get married to someone when she spent most of her years raising you and your brothers by herself. But we had gotten used to having Stephen around for 5 years prior to the wedding, even though the wedding had been delayed at least twice because of covid, so it would have been 3 years and they wouldn't have gotten any photos like this from me, because I was nowhere near the photographer I was then to what I am now.

The day was emotional from start to finish, with Stephen crying before even seeing my mam and then again when seeing my mam walking down the aisle, along with me, my mam and my brothers all crying at the same time. To getting the most emotional at the speeches, one especially from my brother as he explained the bringing up of us with tears in his eyes and how things had changed now. By the end of his speech, I don't think there was a single person who wasn't crying in the room, honestly heart-breaking. But everyone hugged it out and got on to enjoy our night with drinks and dancing and not remembering a lot of what came after the speeches, at least in my case; but as I'll say it time and time again, my family know how to party and we definitely did as such then.
